That See-Through Mustard Bodysuit

After years of ordering lingerie online for my boudoir business, I've amassed quite the collection of lingerie; some hits, lots of misses. Some of the biggest questions asked by clients is where to get lingerie? What websites are trustworthy? What's best for photos? We've also had lots of clients come to the studio with stories of hits and misses they've discovered while shopping for their boudoir experience. So we've decided to start a weekly segment rating lingerie and telling you what's the real deal and what's not as cute as it seems.

Normally I will start off these posts by posting the link and what you should expect, based on the pictures and/or description. I bought this piece from Wish about two years ago. I paid $16 plus $7 shipping and probably waited a month for it arrive. The link has since expired so it's no longer available for purchase but we'll be on the look out for a similar version and review that in the future!

Comfort ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This bodysuit lost a star on comfort due to the the lace-like material being a little itchy as well as the elastic being a little tighter than wanted in certain places. Other than those two minor things, the bodysuit is decently comfortable.

Quality ⭐⭐⭐ This bodysuit is very see-through! Note the underwear I'm wearing underneath it; you may want to wear a little something with it unless you want everything shining through, which can be also be great at times but not the look I was going for that day. One thing that always screams quality issue is when pieces are overly see-through but not advertised that way!

Sizing ⭐⭐ I ordered an XL, the largest size available. I normally wear a medium or large depending on how things fit but I was ordering from Wish so I somewhat knew what to expect; three sizes smaller than advertised. Ordering 3 sizes up sometimes works for me with Wish but in general, I find sizing on Wish to be rather difficult when it comes to inclusive sizing; something we will always be looking for in our reviews!

Photographability/ Style ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Despite all of it's critiques so far, this bodysuit does photograph very well! The cutout piece in the back makes for super cute booty shots. Though the elastics can be uncomfortable, they do a decent job at accentuating the smallest part of the waist while posing. The color of this bodysuit is one of my personal favourites to photograph lately. With the right combination of a something or two underneath this bodysuit, it has some bomb photo potential.

Reliability ⭐⭐⭐ Though this bodysuit photographs well, it is not very close to what I thought I was ordering based on the picture online. The color looked a much brighter yellow, which I'm not mad at but it's still not as pictured. The biggest difference I noticed right away was how see-through this bodysuit was; not like the picture at all. The overall shape of the bodysuit was about the only thing that was represented accurately in the photo online. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Though it fell short in delivering what was expected based on the photo online, this bodysuit came through in it's own unique way. Overall, it's been deemed worthy of a hanger in the client closet and is definitely something I would reach for during a session!
