Rachel

We've gotten to work with Rachel on a few occasions, one of which included a really fun glitter shoot! Here's what she had to say after her first session:

"I came across Dev’s boudoir photography group on Facebook during the perfect moment in time for me. I was intrigued and fascinated in learning all about it. I followed and participated in posts until I gained enough courage to book a shoot for myself and I’m so glad I did! I’m naturally a little obnoxious, never see myself as “sexy". I’m a loud, hyper, random, “hot mess” mama of two so seeing myself totally out of my element was different but beautiful at the same time. Totally empowering honestly! I met Dev for the first time at their place a couple weeks before my shoot for a consultation. We talked about my comfort level and basically went over everything that was going to happen during the big day so I could prepare myself as much as possible. They were very easy-going and understanding, was super flexible and willing to let me come by during the only time I was available (late evening). Dev was also very friendly but still kept it professional at the same time, I left feeling confident about it all and was looking forward to my shoot! So a few weeks later it was the big day and I was nervous as hell, not going to lie. Once I showed up they were more than welcoming and willing to suggest ideas with my visions and it just worked out perfectly! They made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and not rushed at all. All my shyness soon melted away shortly after we started shooting and it was a lot more fun than I anticipated! Nearing the end of my shoot I was sore, tired, and hungry...who knew posing for two hours could be such hard work lol?! We wrapped it up and I was gifted a goodie bag at the end (which was a very nice treat/gesture). I left feeling confident, excited and eager to view my gallery. Dev was VERY prompt on editing and I had about 100 pictures I was able to view and choose from about a week and a half after my shoot! Super impressed with the quality and work in every way, was definitely not disappointed what so ever! They had fair and flexible prices available to suit anyone’s budget as well which is nice! Now back to my over all experience with doing a boudoir shoot. It took a lot of courage and bravery not to just only get down to the studio but to share a few on social media as well. I know I didn’t HAVE to but after Dev captured these amazing shots and making me feel so much better then I’ve ever felt in my life I totally wanted to! For me this opportunity and experience came up at the perfect moment. After years of battling abuse, being mistreated, then having thoughts of doubt, shame, and intimidation I’m happy to say that it's finally all behind me. This photo shoot was a nice addition to my healing journey. Sometimes you can lose yourself a bit after becoming a mother too so overall this was such a huge confident boost seeing myself in a new light and out of my element. Boudoir is for any and every person! I hope to inspire other women whatever the reason may be because we all deserve to feel good about ourselves in some way right?! Thank you for the experience Dev it was such an interesting & fun adventure!
